Snap!
The band Snap, whose songs have been successfully performed all over the world, is a Eurodance project from Germany, which has released three music collections (between 1990 and the end of 1996). At the same time, the composition of the snap band, which the regular fans of the band are used to listening to, differed significantly each time.
The project was officially established in 1989 in Frankfurt. The frontmen were producers of techno music style, namely: Antsilotti Luca and Munzing Michael. The vocal part on the debut compilation called World Power was performed by a rapper from America, known as Turbo B. Also vocalist was a certain Penny Ford. Only the music track called "The Power" became an exception, because in that case the vocalist was a member of The Weather Girls - Izora Armstead.
The single The Power was recognized as one of the largest hits of 1990 (in Britain and Germany the song ranks first among hits, in America second), and it had a very strong influence on the promotion and promotion of the genre of Eurodance outside Germany.
After some time, the new vocalist Jackie Harris comes to the project.
The world saw two hit songs Oops Up and Mary Had A Little Boy with the vocals of this girl, but after two years she left the band, and gave way to the lead soloist Penny Ford.
In 1991, another vocalist, Thea Austin, was added to the project. She was just invited to take part in the creation of the music track Rhythm Is A Dancer.
In addition, work was actively underway on the single Color Of Love.
In the spring of 1992, the guys began selling the second collection of the project - The Madman’s Return.
The second track from this album became the most popular. Despite the colossal success, the project still began to fall apart.
As a result, Darren Butler left the band to do solo activities, as well as two vocalists. Then the participants of the project were renewed to a completely female cast, so it was decided by the producers.
The new face of the band was Nicki Harris, who had previously performed with Madonna on backing vocals. Except for women's vocal parts, you won't hear any in the band now.
The songs Exterminate and Do You See The Light appeared, which were no worse than their predecessors. At the same time, the second version of Rhythm Is A Dancer is being recorded, but there is no Turbo B on the vocals. The project continues to delight its fans, the former vocalists are beginning to openly envy.
The third collection was released in 1994 and was called Welcome to Tomorrow.
It was presented again by the updated lineup. Paul Brown was invited to record the record.
To record another Rame track, the Snap! used a recording of the voice of artist Rukmani, who sings in Hindi. The singer herself participated in the creation of the single, and when this track was released, she was already dead. The band's music genre has changed.
Despite the fact that the first song of the next group of Snap album took the sixth position in the UK charts, the sales of the producer's collection were not impressive.
Two years later, it became known that the dance project was closing. But in 2000, you could hear their songs again.
